Clinical Correspondence Administrator - part-time (hours to be determined)
The Practice is moving towards becoming a paper-light environment and this new role will be to ensure that all internal and external patient correspondence is processed and stored on the electronic medical record in a timely manner. You will be responsible for reading all incoming patient correspondence, Read Code the relevant clinical information onto the patient record, and identify when to forward to the GP for appropriate action, using an approved protocol. You will be skilled and confident in making decisions about how to code a letter and its contents in the patient record. You will need to have a proven tract record of working on your own initiative, be organised, methodical and able to work quickly and accurately. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are also essential, as is a good understanding of medical terminology and Read Codes.

We are a highly regarded training and research practice, with dermatology and surgical interests, looking for enthusiastic and dedicated GPs to join our forward-thinking, supportive and friendly team. The Practice is located in new purpose-built premises at the Health Park in Truro, Cornwall. Our list size is approximately 15,000 with a clinical team of 8 partners, 5 salaried GPs, 4 practice nurses and 7 phlebotomists/HCAs.
The post will involve managing your own workload, completing paperwork, home visits, and being part of the duty rota.
